The flames within burning bright Mocking the world, she walked through night. A smile on her face, a twinkle in her eyes, Unafraid, and uncaring, unperturbed by lies. Broken manacles adorning her wrist A rebel, with emancipation she had a tryst. Leaving behind the blood that bound, The beat of her heart spoke of courage profound. No pretty bangles nor make up she had, And gorgeous yet, fascinating and glad. Alleys and corners scared her no more, Undeterred, intrepid, steeled from the core. Not a woman's world was she told, And yet she dared to defy, beautiful and bold.  ~ankit~

We are the dark in the light Baby you and me Straight from hell We are demons set free. Burning through skies Setting the world ablaze Birds of fire Monsters with rage. Breaking hearts Smoking meth Burning souls Love, we are death. Living our dream Wild things untamed Raising storms In seas unnamed. Angels, darling With wings of gold See us fly In nights icy cold. Coming home Start ringing the bell I bring presents baby With love, from hell.  ~ankit~

Ah, it rains, rains, rains. I hold your hand and we walk. It is dark. The clouds hide the sun. And it's cold for the rain has begun. Now we reach the park. And we dance, dance, dance. To the music of the falling rain. To the rhythm of joy driving us insane. We close our eyes and look to the sky. Our closed eyes help us fly. And we go high, high, high. I feel your heart beat for me. I feel the love that you drown me in. Now I look at you. And I go for a kiss. And as our lips meet, we burn, burn, burn.  ~ankit~

Holding your hand, Walking by the ice cream corner, I look back and I see all we have been through, You and me. Piggyback rides and summer nights, Noodles at three and pillow fights, Falling sick and then rise and shine, together, You and me. Spooky stories and late night chats, Crazy jokes and stupid cracks, Bitching about the world together, You and me. Playing pranks and bunking classes, Throwing frisbee, breaking glasses, Dancing like drunkards together, You and me. Fighting like crazy, junk food bliss, Sharing chocolates, first kiss, Falling in love together, You and me.  ~ankit~

Every night, he would look up to the sky, wondering if somewhere she was looking up to the same stars too. He would think about her face, about how the moonlight would illuminate her beautiful features, falling on her gorgeous hair, flowing through it like wind. He would think about her eyes, how they would twinkle with delight, like the stars above. He would think about her lips, the way they would curve upwards, as if nothing could bring them down, bring her down. He wished nothing ever would. He would wonder if she thought of him too, every night, every day, every moment, like he did. He would wonder if she made the same wish upon the stars as him, to be together. And with a heavy heart and a soft smile, he would wish for the moon and the stars and the wind and the night to convey his love to her, in a distant land where men did not walk. And he would wish she had stayed, would wish she had lived. ~ankit~

Never stop cheating. Cheat on death, and live. Live like nothing can kill you. Run, fly, ‘cause you are a freakin’ superhero. Cheat on life, and be alive. Don’t just stand and breathe and see. Fight and scream and break the shackles and be free. Cheat on the trends, and be different. Do not follow ‘cause everyone does, they are idiots. Set fire to the world and make a stage of the ashes and stand apart. Cheat on the nightmares, be the light. Don’t be scared of the dark, of what’s not known. Be the blazing inferno, show the way and burn all that haunts. Cheat on the world, be a monster. Walk through a hurricane and walk away. Do not stand down and claw through all that comes your way. Strive and struggle and persevere. Keep working on it ‘cause you do not have the right to give up. ‘Cause the day you let go, the world’s gonna pick at you and eat you up. Keep cheating. ‘Cause you deserve what you feel you do and no one can stop you. ‘Cause you are the hero ...
